Intelligent access control to secure and manage your sites in real time
Who enters your premises, at what time, with which rights? Intelligent access control by ANAVEO answers these questions in real time and turns entry and exit management into a true operational pilot. INNOVEO platform, CNIL and GDPR compliance by design, more than 30 years of expertise.
Intelligent access control refers to an electronic system that authorises or denies entry of a person or vehicle to a protected area, based on identification technologies (RFID badge, biometric, mobile virtual badge, ANPR licence plate reading) and a centralised rights management platform. At ANAVEO, this intelligence runs on AccessTracker, the native access control brick of the INNOVEO platform, designed and hosted in France.
An ANAVEO intelligent access control system covers five essential capabilities for securing a multi-site estate.
- Authorise or deny access in real time based on business rules (schedules, profiles, zones)
- Trace every entry and exit instantly, with timestamp and video association
- Detect abnormal behaviour and trigger real-time alerts
- Manage differentiated rights per site, per floor, per zone, up to 30,000 access points
- Secure sensitive zones with suitable technologies (biometric for data centres, badge for offices)
Four multi-site access control challenges
Before adopting an intelligent access control system, security, CISO and IT directors of multi-site organisations face four structural challenges that classic systems no longer address.
Lost and stolen badges
Physical badges are regularly lost or stolen, creating a theft and data disclosure risk. Without centralised immediate revocation, the risk persists for days.
Scattered rights management across sites
The bigger the estate, the more time-consuming and error-prone profile and rights management becomes. A leaving employee often keeps their access for weeks.
Biometrics outside the CNIL framework
Biometrics are strictly regulated in France (systematic DPIA required, proportionality principle, legitimate purpose). Many companies install them without compliant documentation and expose themselves to CNIL sanctions.
Untracked external contractors
Subcontractors, deliveries, cleaning agents, technicians: these contractors come and go without traceability, creating a blind zone in the company’s security system.
AccessTracker: badge, biometric and mobile virtual badge unified on INNOVEO
AccessTracker is the native access control brick of the INNOVEO platform. Designed and hosted in France, it unifies three identification technologies on a single interface, with multi-site supervision up to 30,000 access points.
RFID badge
Classic badge reader with RFID chip, supporting 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz and MIFARE DESFire cards. The most deployed solution for offices, retail and tertiary. NFC-compatible for smartphone evolution.
GDPR-compliant biometrics
Fingerprint, facial recognition or iris recognition for high-security zones (data centres, laboratories, vaults). DPIA systematically delivered by ANAVEO, CNIL-compliant documentation template provided.
Mobile virtual badge
Digital credential stored in a secure mobile app. Read via NFC or Bluetooth. Ideal for external contractors (temporary badge sent by email or SMS with adjustable validity).
INNOVEO Experience: multi-site access control supervision
A multi-platform application (PC, mobile, tablet) to manage access control from anywhere.
- Multi-view and multi-site, up to 30,000 access points on a single interface
- Centralised management of user profiles and rights per site / floor / zone
- Immediate revocation of lost badges from any connected terminal
- KPI dashboards: accesses, denials, alerts, biometric coverage rate, contractor traceability
- MFA and SSO for reinforced cybersecurity (Zero Trust by design)
- ISO 27001, GDPR and NIS2 compliance included, HRIS integration via REST API
See, Know, Anticipate: the INNOVEO philosophy applied to access
Three families of Smart Apps articulate the INNOVEO ecosystem, mirroring the three stages of operational access security.
Capture every entry and exit
Badge reader at every opening, ANPR licence plate reading for vehicles, visual identification of contractors via video surveillance associated with AccessTracker.
Analyse flows and rights
KPI dashboards, timestamped traceability, behavioural analytics (repeated denials, after-hours access). Centralised information for executive reporting.
Anticipate and react to risks
Automatic detection of abnormal behaviour, automated alarm verification with associated video, immediate remote blocking of suspicious badges.
AccessTracker amplified by the INNOVEO Smart Apps
AccessTracker reaches its full value when combined with the Smart Apps from the INNOVEO ecosystem. Six typical combinations show the power of an integrated access control unified with video surveillance.

Alarm verificationAccess control by industry: tertiary, industry, transport, healthcare, retail, hospitality
Depending on the industry, deployed technologies and rights configurations differ. Six major business segments addressed by AccessTracker.
- Tertiary and offices: staff (badge), external contractors (temporary virtual badge), server rooms (biometric), parking (ANPR)
- Industry: ATEX zones, production areas, loading bays, mandatory PPE management
- Transport and logistics: truck entry (ANPR), contractors, sorting stations, dock zones
- Healthcare: sensitive medical zones, medication storage (biometric), care staff access, medical contractors
- Retail: checkouts, stockrooms, staff access, cleaning contractors
- Hospitality: rooms (mobile virtual badge for guests), staff zones, maintenance contractors
Intelligent access control goes beyond simple deterrence. It prevents at-risk situations by restricting access to sensitive zones, protecting confidential information, and ensuring full traceability of people and vehicle movements.

Everything about intelligent access control in eight questions
What sets intelligent access control apart from classic access control?
Intelligent access control integrates the INNOVEO platform and Smart Apps: centralised multi-site management, ANPR integration for vehicles, timestamped traceability associated with video, automated alarm verification on denial. Classic access control is limited to authorise or deny, with no contextualisation nor behavioural intelligence.
Which access control technologies does ANAVEO offer?
Three families: RFID badge (125 kHz, 13.56 MHz, MIFARE DESFire cards), biometric (fingerprint, facial recognition, iris) and mobile virtual badge (NFC, Bluetooth). For vehicles, ANPR (Number Plate Tracker) reads plates up to 25 m away, 0 lux, 100,000 scans.
Are workplace biometrics compliant with GDPR and CNIL?
Yes, provided a systematic DPIA is carried out, the proportionality principle is respected (biometrics only justified for high-security zones) and a legitimate purpose is documented. ANAVEO delivers a DPIA for every biometric rollout and provides a documentation template aligned to CNIL deliberation 2019-001.
Can multi-site access control be managed from a single interface?
Yes. AccessTracker on INNOVEO Experience supervises up to 30,000 access points on a single interface, accessible from PC, mobile or tablet. Rights management differentiated per site, per floor, per zone, with MFA and SSO for cybersecurity.
How are external contractors (deliveries, technicians, cleaning agents) traced?
The mobile virtual badge is sent by email or SMS to the contractor with a temporary validity (1 hour, 1 day, 1 week). On expiry, the badge revokes automatically. All accesses are timestamped and associated with video surveillance for audit.
What happens if a badge is lost or stolen?
Revocation is immediate from any terminal connected to INNOVEO Experience (PC, mobile, tablet). No need to travel to the site. The lost badge access history remains consultable to identify possible fraudulent uses.
Does ANAVEO access control integrate with my existing HRIS?
Yes. INNOVEO exposes a REST API for integration with major market HRIS (automatic synchronisation of staff arrivals and departures, automatic badge attribution and revocation). This integration removes blind zones around former employees.
How does ANAVEO guarantee the security of my access control data?
Sovereign French hosting on the INNOVEO platform redundant Aix-en-Provence and Lyon, TLS 1.3 and AES-256 encryption, mandatory MFA and SSO, ISO 27001, GDPR and NIS2 compliance by design. ANAVEO’s PSSI is documented and applied, the SOC is operational 24/7.
