What is Perifem?
Perifem is the technical federation of French retail and distribution, bringing together the country’s retail chains. It steers the sector’s major operational, energy and environmental transformations, in partnership with its main players: E.Leclerc, Carrefour, Auchan Retail, Lidl, Mousquetaires, Coopérative U, Decathlon, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Altarea and many others.
Every year, Perifem organises Perifem Day: a morning of discussion on the major transformations in retail, closing with the Perifem Awards. These awards recognise the most innovative solutions serving the sustainable transformation of the sector. The 2026 edition marks the 7th Perifem Day.
A selective distinction in a sector undergoing deep change
The 2026 edition of the Perifem Awards drew record engagement:
- 83 entries submitted by companies from across France
- 32 finalists selected to pitch before the jury
- 16 retail experts making up the jury
- 10 categories rewarded: energy efficiency, circular economy, sustainable water management, site security, adaptation to climate change, packaging reuse and equipment refurbishment
ANAVEO was recognised in the Security category for INNOVEO.
INNOVEO, the intelligent and predictive security platform
“INNOVEO unifies video surveillance, access control, IoT and operational supervision. The solution strengthens site security while making better use of data to improve store performance.”
From the Perifem Awards 2026 citation
INNOVEO is ANAVEO’s answer to the new challenges facing retail:
- Unknown shrinkage: €6bn to €7bn a year for French retailers, or 1.4% to 1.8% of turnover
- Multiplying fraud channels: sweeping (clearing entire shelves), online resale, fraudulent self-checkout
- Regulatory and operational pressure: GDPR and NIS 2 compliance, optimising field teams
By unifying CCTV, access control, IoT and operational supervision on a single platform, INNOVEO allows retailers to:
- Prevent losses and theft through predictive analysis
- React faster through centralised multi-site supervision
- Measure the impact of their systems on operational performance
ANAVEO accelerates in retail security
This distinction confirms ANAVEO’s strategy in the retail segment, in line with our recently published white paper on unknown shrinkage, which sizes the phenomenon and sets out the technological levers available. It also comes as French legislation evolves: the loi Midy, adopted on 16 February 2026, authorises AI-augmented video analytics in stores in France.
